2025 CAO Leadership Program
3/24/2025 - 5/8/2025

OMAA is pleased to partner with the #1 business school in the country, the Schulich School of Business at York University, to offer the CAO Leadership Program.

This five-day program offers sought-after leadership skills in areas like political acuity, digital transformation, and culture change to thrive in your role or move up the career ladder. The program is hosted in a convenient choice model of virtual or in-person and featuring top-rated Scuhlich instructors with guest appearances from experienced CAOs.

This program is ideal for CAOs and Aspiring CAOs in municipalities of all tiers and sizes across Ontario. Professional managers and key decision makers will gain the vital leadership skills, strategies, and methods needed to better support elected officials and effectively implement Council policies, moving up to more senior roles. 

After completing the CAO Leadership Program, you'll receive an authentic digital badge from the #1 business school in Canada that employers will recognize. Upon completion of additional programming through Schulich ExecEd, you will be eligible to receive a Master's Certificate in Municipal Leadership.

  • Module 2 : Culture Shaping Leader: March 25 – 9-4 online via Zoom or in-person at Miles S. Nadal Centre at 222 Bay Street, Suite 500, Toronto.
  • Module 3 : Complex Problem Solving: April 10 – 9-4 online via zoom.  
  • Module 4 : Digital Figures: April 24 – 9-4 online via zoom.
  • Module 5 : Political Acuity: May 8 –  9-4 online via Zoom or in-person at Miles S. Nadal Centre at 222 Bay Street, Suite 500, Toronto.

  • Member $4695 + hst
  • Non-Member $5295 + hst

Note: a discount code for the Novotel Toronto Centre will be provided to all registrants.

The program will be subject to the following cancelation / postponement obligation with respect to the receipt of written notice:
• Before 30 days or more prior to delivery, no cancelation fee. 
• Within 29-16 days prior to delivery, 50% of the fee.
• Within 15 days or less prior to delivery, 100% of the fee. A program may be postponed based upon availability.
